Tweet Tweet or Blab Blab?

I've been using Twitter for a few weeks now and there is something that I couldn't understand that has now been explained to me in a video posted by Tim Fehlman at the Daily Cup of Tech. I was having trouble following conversations in the Twittersphere. I would see all of the @replies written by people I follow and they meant absolutely nothing to me because I didn't see what the replies were referring to. I now fully understand that it isn't about having a conversation at all, but rather it is just about blabbing what you are doing! Here is the video, which it explains it so much better than I can.
